Welcome to the first of our weekly email updates for the 2026 season!

Every week, you’ll get an email alerting you to what’s happening that week, current volunteer needs, and any other pertinent information that students and parents should be aware of.

FHS Marching Band meets Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6-9pm. Make sure your kids hydrate beforehand, wear shoes they can move in, a binder with plastic sheets for their music and refillable water bottle.

If you’re child is going on the DCI Aug. 6-7, send Mr. Jamison the cell phone number or email address for the ticket transfer ASAP. Email Elon.Jamison@ferndaleschools.org.

This week, mini-camp is from 11am-6pm instead of 11am-3pm as it was last week. It’s a long day, so again, make sure your marcher is pre-hydrated, well-rested and eats breakfast. Lunch is from 2-3pm and students can bring theirs own food or the boosters will be selling pizza, snacks and Gatorade/water—cash only.

Band Camp Signup Day

Marchers will choose their bus and cabin selections during this mini-camp

Senior Pictures

Seniors will take their Senior Banner Pictures starting at 9am.

Meeting will be in the FHS auditorium at 6:15pm. It is really important one parent from each family attend. 

You can write a check to FSFAB ($210) or you can pay online via PayPal ($216.30) here or on the FSAB website here. PLEASE MAKE SURE you put your student's name on the check. If using PayPal, use the drop down menu to select "August 5th Regular Fee" for easy processing. Thank you!

I will send these emails out weekly. However, absences and urgent communications regarding your child should be directed Mr. Jamison (elon.jamison@ferndaleschools.org). Regarding absences, two weeks notice is the ideal timing. At this point, there should be no absences with the exception of illness or occasional unavoidable and unexpected situations.
